After a quick internet search, I found a fabulous Creamy Italian Salad Dressing recipe from Foodandwine.com. The ingredients are simple and most should already be in your pantry. Don’t have fresh herbs? Don’t worry, use dried, they taste just as good!
3 Tbls Mayonaise
3 Tbls Heavy Cream/Milk/Half and Half
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp dried oregano (or 1 tsp fresh chopped oregano)
1/2 tsp dried parsley (or 1 Tbls. fresh chopped parlsey
1/4 tsp dried basil (my addition) (or 1 tsp fresh chopped basil)
1/4 Cup olive oil
Mix all ingredients except for olive oil. Use a whisk and slowly drizzle in olive oil to create a emulsified dressing.
